Volunteers For Outdoor Colorado Helps Preserve State

DENVER (CBS4) - Colorado has some of the most spectacular scenery in the country, but it's up to the state's residents to help protect and preserve it for later generations. That's the idea behind Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado.

The group provides hands-on volunteer opportunities for those who want to get their hands dirty.

Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado executive director Ann Baker Easley stopped by CBS4 studios to talk about the group. Watch her interview in the video below.

Some of the topics Easley touched on are as follows:

-- How Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado got started

-- Some of the projects volunteers can expect to be a part of.

-- How many people are currently participating and how to become a volunteer

-- Even if you can't participate in the program, what people can do in their everyday life to protect and preserve Colorado
