Pueblo Cuts Swat Team Following Critical Report
PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - The Pueblo Police Department is cutting the number of members of its Special Weapons and Tactics team following a report they were not adequately trained.
Capt. Jeff Bodmer said the team has been cut from 36 members to 15 officers and two supervisors.
A review of KRW Associates found the previous SWAT team was too large and officers were not adequately trained. The report said the issue needed immediate attention, according to the Pueblo Chieftain.
