Tebow Proud Of His Offseason Conditioning

LAKE TAHOE, Colo. (CBS4) - Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow has been making public appearances in and out of Colorado since the regular season ended last year.

While it might be easy to assume the young celebrity been more concerned with publicizing his autobiography or improving his golf game than preparing for next season, he wants to make it clear he's been keeping in shape for football.

"People see me on this stuff (golf courses and at public events) but it's 45 minutes or an hour a day. The rest of the time I'm with my teammates training, working, trying to get better," Tebow told CBS4's Vic Lombardi in an interview on Thursday from the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship in Lake Tahoe, Calif.

"I'm very proud of the work that I put in this offseason and I'm looking forward to getting this thing going and competing and I'm very excited about that."

On Wednesday night Tebow appeared on ESPN as a presenter at the ESPY awards show alongside model Brooklyn Decker.

Tebow said he invited a pair of his Broncos linemen -- J.D. Walton and Zane Beadles -- to make the trip with him to the ESPYs.
