Kids Make Own Summer Fun With Thrill Charts

DENVER (CBS4)- When children are bored during the dog days of summer, there's no need to break the bank to keep them entertained.

CBS4 Money Saver Suzanne McCarroll demonstrates a few economical summer activities provided by Arrowhead Elementary School third grade teacher Summer Snyder. Watch her report below.

Here are some of the summer fun for kids activities as provided by Snyder.

  • Make a Me Collage- paste pictures of activities and things you like that represent you.
  • Study famous people from your hometown, city or state.
  • Research endangered species within your community. Visit the Plains Conservation Center or learn about water conservation at the Aurora Water Center.
  • Make a Thrill Chart. Create fun exciting adventures to incorporate into your summer. Give them a thrill rating and check them off your list as you complete each activity.

Movie Tavern Aurora helped Snyder and her class celebrate the year with a party at the theatre when the film was released.
