Parents Learn Proper Installation Of Car Seats
DENVER (CBS4)- According to the Colorado Department of Transportaion, 90 percent of all child car seats are improperly installed in our state.
On Saturday, the Eastside Family Health Clinic hosted a child safety fair at 28th and Welton in Denver. Parents could drive up with their car seats to have them inspected.
"Maybe the child has outgrown it, maybe the seat is dated or expired, maybe it's worn out. That's when a technician will determine whether they need to be replaced," said CDOT spokeswoman Susan Burks.
New car seats were also handed out for a small donation. Parents could also learn which seats are best for different ages and sizes of children.
