Colorado Sends Helicopter To Nebraska Floods

DENVER (AP) - Colorado is sending an Army National Guard Blackhawk helicopter with a crew of three to support flood relief operations in Nebraska.

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper signed an executive order allowing the deployment at the request of Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman.

The soldiers will support sandbagging operations on the North Platte River.

The Nebraska Emergency Management Agency said guard members will put sandbags on levees with help from helicopter crews.
