Health Department Says Smoke Warning Expired

DENVER (AP) - The Colorado health department says a health advisory for southern Colorado because of smoke from fires in Arizona has expired.

The department said the heaviest smoke moved east of Colorado Tuesday morning.

Moderate to possibly heavy smoke may still be possible in the extreme southeast corner of Colorado in and near Springfield, according to the department.

The department said smoke from the fires may still contribute to light to moderate background haze in the state, but the smoke should be below levels of concern.
