Special Olympians Carry Torch To State Capitol
DENVER (CBS4)- Nearly 200 Special Olympics athletes and law enforcement officers followed a torch to the state Capitol on Thursday.
Over the past month, hundreds of officers have carried a flame of hope through their communities across Colorado.
On Thursday, those three flames were unified into a single torch, which then took a journey to the 16th Street Mall.
Opening ceremonies are Saturday at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
