Man Drives To Safeway After Being Shot

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police would like the public's help locating a suspect in a shooting that happened Sunday morning.

Sonny Jackson with Denver police said the victim, who was driving a car at the time, was shot near Kentucky Avenue and Krameria Street. After being shot he apparently drove himself to a nearby Safeway store for help.

The suspect, who police believe was on foot at the time, is described as a light-skinned black man wearing a black t-shirt. He possibly fled in a black Honda Accord or Chevy Impala.

"We don't know what motivated the shooting or what led up to it," Jackson said.

The victim was taken to Denver Health Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
