The mail was stolen May 17 on 195 North Jackson Street, just east of the Cherry Creek Mall and 770 Albion Street.

Police said tips from the public helped identify the theft suspect as Shaw.

At the Albion Apartments a manager said at least seven mailboxes were pried open, leaving tenants feeling violated.

"Very uneasy to the point where I want to get a mailbox at the post office," said Albion Apartment tenant Theresa Tiehan.

"He used a pair of pliers and just propped them open. Took his time, picked up his little bag, put the stuff in his bag," said Albion Apartment Manager and tenant Mary Tirrell. "He was looking in certain boxes and whatever he saw that's the one that he propped."
