Greeley-Evans School Board Member Facing Censure
GREELEY, Colo. (AP) -- A Greeley-Evans school board member is facing possible censure over allegations that he inappropriately touched a teacher and made sexually suggestive comments.
Brett Reese denied the allegations after the school board met in a closed-door session on Wednesday.
Reese is the board member who got attention earlier this year for his radio commentaries denouncing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
He released a letter from the school board about the teacher's complaint. The letter says he's also been accused of being under the influence of alcohol at a board meeting.
Reese said he only touched the teacher's hand to admire her wedding ring and give her a compliment.
Board spokesman Roger Fiedler says the board will meet again on Thursday to discuss "a resolution of public censure."
