3rd Graders Improve On CSAP Reading Tests
DENVER (CBS4) - Colorado third graders did better on this year's CSAP reading tests.
Seventy-three percent scored at least "proficient" -- that's up 3 points from last year.
Students in rural districts had the biggest jumps. For instance, in McClave, west of Lamar, the percentage of students scoring at least proficient in reading jumped from 43 to 68 percent.
The Denver, Boulder and Littleton districts all saw 5 percent point increases.
Some districts saw CSAP reading scores drop, including Greeley and Englewood.
