Red Cross Trains For Real-Life Disasters

DENVER (CBS4) - The Red Cross Mile High Chapter was preparing for the worst on Saturday.

Red Cross volunteers practiced their emergency response plans. The drills were training for real-life emergencies. Workers learned to house and feed those left homeless in the wake of a disaster.

Many volunteers will head to Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi in the next two months to help people recover from recent flooding.
