Denver Celebrates Cinco De Mayo
DENVER (CBS) - The first weekend of May brings the celebration of Cinco de Mayo to Denver. One of the largest celebrations in the nation will take place in Civic Center Park.
More than 300 vendors and three stages of entertainment will fill the park Saturday and Sunday. The Cinco de Mayo Parade steps off at 10 a.m. Saturday from West Colfax and ends at the park.
There are road closures around the park beginning Friday and you expect to run into extra traffic all weekend along Federal Boulevard.
Cinco de Mayo commemorates a battle between Mexico and France on the morning of May 5, 1862 at Puebla, Mexico.
