2 Denver Police Officers Suspended Without Pay

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver's new manager of safety suspended two Denver police officers without pay on Tuesday.

The first case involved an officer accused of using inappropriate force. Kenneth Johnson has been suspended for 30 days. Johnson was accused of attacking a man in a LoDo apartment building in 2009.

Johnson was accused of going after Chad Forte for jaywalking. Last year Forte told CBS4 his trust in police was shaken.

"Certainly they weren't serving and protecting me from anything at that point. So yeah, it still lingers with me. Just to say I'm bitter about it," Forte said last year.

In a separate case, Officer Michael Lemmons was suspended for 90 days for driving under the influence.
