Kinder has been released from jail and is serving 12 years of probation. He is banned from the UNC campus and from owning guns. Police said Kinder had a substantial collection.

UNC has claimed Kinder confronted university members and admitted to writings of homicidal and suicidal thoughts.

Kinder reportedly complained in court on Tuesday that his life has been ruined because the school overreacted.
