Berthoud Police: Man Took Test Drive And Never Came Back

BERTHOUD, Colo. (CBS4) - Berthoud police would like the public's help locating a missing man after they received a false call.

Police said on Monday about 8 p.m. they received a call from a man who said he was Rayburn Harmon, 22. He told police the vehicle he was driving had malfunctioned and was filling up with water in Carter Lake. When officers arrived the vehicle was not in the lake.

Police said the black 2007 Cadillac Escalade appears to be the property of a car dealer. The car was taken for a test drive from the dealer and not returned. It might have Wyoming license plate number 901-SAB.

Harmon is considered a missing person and the Escalade is considered stolen, according to Berthoud police.

Police said Harmon should not be approached and considered dangerous. He's described as being approximately 6-foot-1, 220 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Berthoud police at (970) 532-2611 or call their local law enforcement agency.
