Activists Rally For Equal Pay For Women At Capitol

DENVER (CBS4) - More than 100 people lined the state Capitol steps to call for equal pay for women on Tuesday.

Equal Pay Day symbolizes how far into the year a woman must work to earn as much as a man.

The activists dressed in red to make the point that pay for women and minorities is still "in the red." They say women's wages still lag 24 percent behind those of men.

The activists are asking Congress to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act to ensure everyone gets equal pay for an equal day's work.
