BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – The Fourmile burn area in Boulder County is getting some much needed help. On Saturday about 100 people working with Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado helped restore the charred landscape.

The volunteers planted native grass seed that will help protect the land from erosion and flooding after big rainstorms.

The fire burned more than 6,000 acres.

Outdoor Colorado recruited corporate teams from local businesses and organizations to help out.
