Colorado Bill Would Expand Handicapped Parking Permits
DENVER (AP) - Handicapped parking permits in Colorado could come from out-of-state physician recommendations under a bill introduced Tuesday.
The Senate bill is aimed at residents near a border with another state who visit a doctor in another state. Currently, only Colorado doctors can sign off on in-state handicapped parking permits.
Republican Sen. Greg Brophy of Wray says his bill would affect only a handful of people but could make it easier for handicapped people who visit out-of-state physicians.
