Wazee Temporarily Renamed 'Tooley Street'

DENVER (CBS4)- Everyone's gearing up for St. Patrick's Day festivities around Denver.

Wazee Street in lower downtown Denver has a new name, at least for a week. Every year leading up to St. Patrick's Day, the city changes the street's name to Tooley Street.

That's in honor of long-time Denver District Attorney Dale Tooley.

Mayor Bill Vidal and other city officials attended the sign unveiling Thursday afternoon. Bagpipers were also there to mark the occasion.

Denver's St. Patrick's Day parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday. Clay Roberts and Clairisa Smith, members of the parade committee, stopped by CBS4 studios to talk about the free event.
