3rd Bank Robbery In 2 Weeks Reported In Longmont

LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) - Another bank robbery has been reported in Longmont, the third in two weeks.

Police say a man robbed an Academy Bank branch in a Wal-Mart store of an undisclosed amount of money on Friday. Authorities say the man didn't show a weapon.

The same bank branch was robbed on Feb. 18, and a Wells Fargo branch inside a Safeway store was robbed on Tuesday.

Police have said the Feb. 18 robbery was an inside job. Lizardo "Alan" Monje, an assistant manager of the branch, and Frank Gutierrez were arrested on suspicion of theft, conspiracy and burglary. Monje also faces a charge of false reporting.

Both live in Greeley.

James Lloyd Graber of Kansas has been arrested in the Tuesday bank robbery.
