Decision Coming Soon For Woman Who Destroyed Art In Loveland

LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4) - She pleaded guilty to destroying a controversial piece of artwork in Loveland. Now a judge could soon decide Monday how much restitution she'll pay.

Last November Kathleen Folden pleaded guilty to misdemeanor criminal mischief. A month earlier she used a crowbar to destroy a lithograph in a Loveland museum. The picture appeared to show Jesus in a sex act.

Folden is from Kalispell, Mont. She told authorities she thought the piece was obscene and admitted to driving from Montana to destroy the artwork.

Folden was sentenced to probation and public service and ordered to receive mental health treatment.

Prosecutors have asked the judge to set restitution at $6,700.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story stated Folden would appear in court on Monday, which is not the case.
