Several Grass Fires Break Out In El Paso County

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters battled several grass fires in El Paso County over the weekend.

Saturday night one of the biggest fires burned about 40 acres near Highway 94 and Peyton Highway. No structures burned and no one was hurt.

Thunderstorms were reported in the area.

Firefighters say grass fires are fairly common this year because of storms and unusually dry conditions.
