Aurora Family Barely Escapes House Fire
AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - An Aurora family barely escaped when fire destroyed their home.
The fire broke out Sunday afternoon in the 16000 block of 7th Place. Firefighters say a young couple, their baby, dog and family friend got out just moments before flames engulfed the home.
When firefighters arrived flames were blowing out the front of the house and back kitchen door. The people who live there say they heard a loud noise upstairs. When they went to check they found flames growing by the second.
"As soon as I saw the curtain on fire and I ran to get my son and my son's father already grabbed him and ran out of the house," Lauren Ayala said.
There no word yet on what caused the fire.
