Woman Died After She Was Found In Parking Lot
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – Police in Lakewood have identified a woman who was found unresponsive in a parking lot early Wednesday morning.
Karen Marie Esquibel, 48, was found unresponsive in the parking lot of the Highland Square Apartments at 12th Ave. and Balsam Street about 5 a.m. She had no apparent injuries.
It is unknown how long she had been in the parking lot, but was experiencing extreme hypothermia. She was taken to the hospital.
Esquibel died about noon. Police do not believe she was the victim of any criminal activity. They believe her death was the result of exposure. The cause of death has not been released.
