Montrose DA Arrested For 2nd Time

MONTROSE, Colo. (AP) - A western Colorado district attorney facing criminal charges for allegedly demanding sexual favors from women in his office has been arrested again, this time on allegations of harassment and violating his bond.

The Montrose Daily Press reports that Montrose County District Attorney Myrl Serra was arrested Wednesday and later released on bond. An arrest affidavit says one of Serra's three accusers in the sexual assault case says he approached her at a store. The woman says she hid behind a clothing rack when she saw Serra and "began shaking from fear."

Serra's bond agreement prohibits him from contacting his accusers.

Serra was arrested in September on suspicion of extortion, indecent exposure, felony unlawful sexual contact and official misconduct. Serra denies the charges.
