DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – There’s a land battle brewing in the foothills of Douglas County.

Developers still have a number of hurdles to clear before anything gets built. It’s also too early to say what city, county or agency would get the water.

There are no plans to use the reservoir for recreation.

Next month the planning commission is set to send its recommendation on the project. The full board of commissioners would then take up the issue before making a final decision on whether to move forward.
