Top Ways to Celebrate National Star Wars Day In Denver

There is one day every year that is unofficially designated as the "Star Wars Day." May 4, as in "May the Fourth Be With You", is the day each year that Star Wars fans (and other science fiction fans) gather to honor one of the most influential film series in cinema history. You can celebrate on your own with a viewing of one or two of the movies, or check out some of these fun themed events happening at destinations all over the Denver area. The Wings Over the Rockies Museum in Denver is one of the lucky museums to actually have a piece of Star Wars history on display. You can visit this museum to check out an actual X-Wing Fighter from the films themselves. While you browse around the impressive museum, be sure to stop off at the Star Wars X-Wing for plenty of photo opportunities and a chance to see one of the actual air crafts that was has traveled all over the world in honor of Star Wars. The Wings Over the Rockies Museum is one of the few places of its kind to have such an exciting exhibition on permanent display, so be sure to check it out while you can.

What better way to celebrate Star Wars Day than to enjoy a show or two at the Gates Planetarium at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science? There are several different shows running, depending on when you get to the Planetarium, so plan ahead to catch your favorite.
