For those who are still looking for a high-kicking good time, though, a good big band groove can still be found in the Mile High City. Sure, you have to look a little harder, but fortunately, all your research has been done for you! Every Thursday and Sunday, the Mercury Cafe goes swing with classes and gatherings designed to get your heart racing and your blood pumping. Every Sunday night from 5:30 - 9:30 p.m. the Rocky Mountain Swing Dance Club takes over the Turnverein Dance and Cultural Center for a study in swing dance excellence. Housed in a stunning historical building, Denver Turnverein is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting culture in all its forms. Since 1922, the Rocky Mountain Swing Dance Club has worked to share and support their love of swing dancing throughout the Denver dance community.
