It won’t be long until school is out but now is the time to look for a summer camp, even for your teenager. There are tons of great summer camp and summer workshop opportunities your high-schooler will love. From science and technology to sports or arts, there is something for every teen and every interest. So take a look at some of these great summer camp options for teens. Do you and your teen have an interest in archaeology? Here is a great opportunity to excavate at a real archaeological site in the southwestern part of Colorado and the Mesa Verde region. The whole family can attend this great program that will teach you basic excavation techniques and how to identify artifacts. Then you’ll head to the lab to wash and catalog pottery and stone tools and get great insight into the lives of the Pueblo people that lived in this area. This week-long camp is for all ages, food is provided and a lifetime of memories will be made.

Got a gamer in your life? Well, get them to put down the controller for a bit this summer and enroll them in this awesome Gaming Academy at the University of Denver. This summer technology program is designed for teens to get a totally immersive pre-college experience in the industry of game development. It is a two-week sleep-away camp that will have your teen living the college life, learning all about 3D modeling, game programming, level design and so much more. Winter may be over, but that doesn’t mean your ski- or snowboard-loving teen has to stay indoors. Send them off to Woodward at Copper, one of the coolest summer camp options in the state. Your teenager will love spending time at its indoor training facility learning all about jumps, tricks and more. Do you have a budding Broadway star on your hands? Then check out the superbly talented group at the Arvada Center Theater Academy. Auditions are held in the spring for actors ages 13 to 18 looking to take part in a very professional-style theater experience.
