Top Public Pools In Denver

Summer is just around the corner which means it is time to start looking into fun ways to beat that summer heat. There are lots of great neighborhood pools to enjoy with both indoor and outdoor facilities. Many even have water slides, splashing areas, hot tubs and more, so you can truly get the most out of your admission to these great facilities. If you are a resident of the city where the pool is located, you may get a discount. Now, take a look at this great list and get ready for some summertime fun.

The Parker Recreation Center has a lot of fun for your kids this summer. There is a large indoor pool with a good-sized water slide plus a sauna for mom and dad to enjoy. If you are looking for some water classes, you can sign up for Aqua Aerobics, private swimming lessons, children's swim conditioning and even water safety instructor training classes. There are also group swim lessons for swimmers of all ages and abilities. When you are done swimming, there are also lots of other amenities at the Parker Recreation Center with three gymnasiums, lots of free weights and other great fitness equipment.

The City of Westminster runs this Swim and Fitness Center and there is a lot to enjoy at this large facility. The pool is a huge 25-yard pool with eight lanes. There is also a diving well, a teaching and play pool, a splash deck and more. Mom and dad will love the hot tub and steam room and there are plenty of locker facilities available. The pool also hosts lots of other fun events like Family Fun Night, where it shows a children's movie with popcorn, pool games and large pool inflatables for a discounted rate. Stop in for the daily rate or pick up a 20-visit punch card or multiple-use pass to get the most out of this neighborhood favorite.

Looking for lots of extra fun for the whole family? Then drop by the City Park Recreation Center in Westminster. You'll find not one, not two, but three indoor pools with slides. There are also rope swings, hot tubs, a play feature, rock climbing wall, jumping platform, pool basketball and so many different ways to burn that extra summer energy that you'll want to visit multiple times. The entire facility is designed to be a great family-friendly destination, with enough things to do that the whole family will have a great time. There are also plenty of classes to sign up for, including multiple swim classes for all ages and abilities. If you are looking for something other than swimming, take advantage of the full-sized gym with racquetball courts and a well-stocked weight room.

If you are looking for even more fun but without the cost and crazy long lines of Water World, check out Pirate's Cove Family Aquatic Center. This is a public pool meets water park with lots of great activities and fun to keep the whole family cool all summer long. You'll find a leisure pool with a huge play structure plus a 25-meter, six-lane pool to enjoy. There is also a 35-foot slide tower with three different water slides, a lazy river and other fun. There are plenty of places to lie out in the sun to relax as the kids play in the water, and a concession stand for munchies when you get hungry. You can even rent a cabana for up to eight people that includes lounge chairs and a dining table. Then you can enjoy a true family day with a comfortable cabana for your picnic between all of the water slide action.

Splashland Aquatics Center is run by the Hylands Hills Park and Recreation District. It is a fabulous facility that is just what you think of when you think of a what a public pool should be. There are beautiful decks with lounging and sunbathing areas plus a splash pad play area for the younger kids. You can also sign the kids up for swimming lessons, covering all ages and abilities, and there is even water aerobics and plenty of open swim time. Lifeguards are always on duty, and although this pool can get a little busy, you can be sure of your child's safety in this excellent facility.
