Beauty Bar Denver
608 East 13th Avenue
Denver, CO 80203
Manicure and Martini $10, Services Tuesday-Friday, 5pm-10pm, Saturdays 7pm-10pm
DJ’s and Dancing after hours, Brunch with Jelly Cafe Sundays
For those who are apt to bring a bottle of champagne or wine for your frequent mani/pedi visit, get your nails and lips served instead at the “vintage salon themed saloon” that is Beauty Bar Denver. Appropriately located in the postmodern-fanatic neighborhood of Capitol Hill, the coast-to-coast chain provides a concept of drinking flirtatious martinis while receiving a relaxing manicure, bopping to jukebox tunes and soaking in the pink-glitter 50s-style salon ambiance. Ten bucks gets you one martini of choice, mixed with bubblies and liqueurs, and one manicure. There’s a full service bar for the rest!
The location also suits the nearly year-old parlor, for the ladies were flocking here in the 90s and early 00s when it was the infamous Snake Pit-She Bop-80s retro-ladies drink free-Tuesday nights. The disco ball from the club still hangs, barely, but the totally and masterfully remodeled lounge, still including dancing and DJs nights and weekends, it’s quite the upgrade. Manicures are the only salon service that can be provided, and are performed by licensed cosmetologist “Glamour Techs.” Businessmen and women, mom groups and the 21-and-over crowd gather here alike!

Ladies’ Night: Wednesdays, 1/2 off Selected Wine Bottles
The adorable area that is Downtown Littleton just keeps growing with fashionable shops, fun pubs and fine new restaurants — and Delizios Café and Wine Bar is certainly a big part of this group! You’ll find fresh baked goods and organic coffee in the morning, European style paninis and salads for lunch, and an assortment of tapas and main dishes for dinner, including a proud wine selection. The Margarita flatbread pizza, goat cheese filled mushrooms and organic wine is winning enough. And to add to the allure, Delizios’ structure shares history with what was a longtime, drive-up service station, reminiscent in the preserved garage door window that bridges the current patio and dining room. And at the turn of the century, the plot was a prized stop along the Rio Grande railway, to grab a drink before the next long venture. However you venture to Delizios today, ladies, you will surely wine and dine well here!
Caveau Wine Bar
450 East 17th Avenue, suite 110
Denver, CO 80203
Happy Hour, 4pm-7pm Daily
Late Night Happy Hour, Winery of the Month, Tuesday-Saturday, 10pm-11pm
The fairly recent addition to the urban strip of Uptown, along east 17th Avenue, Caveau Wine Bar offers sophisticated wines for comfortable prices and everyday people. They promise they are “all about the wine,” and you’ll find that in their wine varietals from Prosecco to Grechetto, to Pinot Noir. Glasses start at $7 and up, and bottles start at $28 and up. Try their flights of wine for tastings, or even one of their special wine tasting events, and especially go for happy hour, 4pm-7pm, $5 glasses of wine, half off glasses $13 and over, including beer and appetizer specials. You can ascent your vino with bruschetta, arugula salad, mussels and more. My favorite is the picnic basket of daily selected meats and cheeses.
Beatrice & Woodsley
38 South Broadway
Denver, CO 80209
Cocktail (Happy) Hour, Monday-Friday, 5pm-6:30pm
Tea & Woodsley (Afternoon Tea), Saturday & Sunday 2pm-4pm
Beatrice & Woodsley is a romantic yet mysterious, nature-provoking “theme”-like restaurant and wine bar. In the ambient light, you see wood and tree references everywhere; antique chain saws above the bar, aspen trunks for rafters, bathroom doors that blend in with the log-lined walls and super fun wash stations of water drizzling chains with tug rope on-and-off switches. I felt like Little Red Riding Hood who stumbled upon a romantic village in a fancy forest. It’s no surprise the spot has its creation by same owners of Mario’s Double Daughters Salotto, where you’ll see similar references to nature with dove-lined ceilings and colorful backdrops. At B&W, you’ll find rarities like rabbit leg “rillettes” to a familiar manicotti-like dish with goat ricotta. They offer a flashy yet affordable wine selection, with half glass, full glass, half bottle and full bottle price and pour options. So why take the ladies here? Because we are just suckers for a pretty environment while we dine!

Salsa Dancing Thursday and Saturday nights
Lipgloss inde-rock club night, Fridays
You’ve gotten together with the girls for plenty of happy hours, bottomless mimosa brunches, and tipsy mani/pedi’s-but whenb was the last time you all went dancing? La Rhumba is one of my favorite spots for ladies night out and for different types of dancing. If you can convince the girls to go, salsa dancing nights at La Rhumba are Thursday and Saturday nights, and make for a super sweatin’, sexy time! There are lessons beforehand, but most men will ask you to dance and will know how to. If you just want to move to the music however it shakes you, try the Friday night Lipgloss, alternative-rock indie-wave music club night, $2 PBR beers, and $3 gin and tonic and vodka drinks. They recently hosted a bring-your-own-roller skate-disco night, so keep your eye out for upcoming events!
