Top Irish Concerts & Festivals In Denver

St. Patrick's Day is a mere 10 days away, and it's the perfect time to seek out and celebrate Irish culture. But the Denver area has a host of Irish concerts and festivals throughout the year. These festivals include a chance to experience Irish food, music, dancing and much more. Taking place throughout the metro area and in the mountains, there is a festival that is easily accessible and easy to work into your schedule. If you can't make it to the St. Patrick's Day parade downtown, but still want to watch Irish dancers and experience Celtic music, check out one of the following festivals.

On Saturday, March 12, Olde Town Arvada will host a St. Patrick's Day festival complete with dancers, bands and a chance to check out some of the local businesses in the area. Grandview Avenue will be blocked off so patrons can walk up and down the street, checking out vendors with food, goods for sale and more. Featured this year are performances by Bennett's School of Irish Dance, Centennial State Pipes and Drums, Celtic Steps and Angus Mohr, among others. Get there early and stay until the event closes at 6 p.m. to experience each act, or check out the schedule for your favorites.

One of the Denver area's most celebrated Celtic artists, Beth Gadbaw Trio brings an unique sound to the Chautauqua Association on Friday, March 18. Playing with guest artists Frederic Pouille and Sandra Wong, this band brings traditional Irish folk staples through classic instruments including the harp and the fiddle. Gadbaw manages to convey soulful story telling with her vocals, and her guest artists complement her musical style. For $20 you can experience Celtic sounds and Irish folk songs in a premiere concert destination in the Boulder area.

This all female Celtic folk band is known for creating intricate sounding music, bringing traditional Irish instruments and songs to audiences all over the world. The band is bringing its signature sound to the Lone Tree Arts Center on March 19. Its show also includes step dancers, whose movements complement the live music, making for a memorable experience. Tickets range from $33 - $55 depending on seating area, and are selling quickly.
