Labor Day Weekend is the official indicator that summer is coming to an end. That means you have one last weekend to get out as a family to enjoy the warm weather, have some fun and make some memories. Don't let another summer pass you by without taking your chance to enjoy some quality time with the kids. There are a lot of fun ways to celebrate the weekend, from big festivals to sporting events to all sorts of other entertainment and fun. No matter what you enjoy, there is definitely something for everyone. Here are five of the best things to do to enjoy Labor Day weekend as a family this year.

The biggest annual Labor Day event in Colorado every year is A Taste of Colorado. This huge annual festival brings together the best chefs from all the top restaurants in town as they show off their stuff. You can wander around and sample from each or pick one or two for a full meal, but there is much more than just food at A Taste of Colorado. The whole family can hang out and dance the day away at the various live music stages, or head over to the KidZone, where you can find lots of play equipment, crafting activities and other free things to keep the kids happy all day as well. There will even be carnival rides and other games available, so plan on spending a lot of time with the whole family at the biggest and best annual festival in Colorado.

Every summer, Pueblo is taken over by the Colorado State Fair, and this Labor Day is the perfect time to bring the whole family down for a weekend packed with fun and entertainment. It's nonstop action as you check out one of the biggest pro rodeos in the country, complete with parades, livestock and horse shows, concerts and more. But that's not all. There is a huge carnival at the fair, so plan on spending some time on all the different rides or trying your hand at the many carnival games. If you haven't heard about this amazing exhibit at the Denver Zoo, Labor Day weekend is the perfect time to check it out. This award-winning traveling exhibit features more than 35 different sculptures that will be scattered throughout the Denver Zoo. Many are life-size, others are larger than life-size, and all are made completely out of LEGO Bricks. You'll find sculptures of animals, birds, flowers and more, including a 400-pound bumblebee, a full-scale African Lion, and a hummingbird with a wingspan of eight feet. Your kids will love seeing their own childhood toys come to life in this fun and unique exhibit, and even the adults will feel like kids again as they marvel at the amazing craftsmanship of each sculpture. Plus, you can also check out all the other real life animals at the zoo while you're there, so it's the perfect family day to celebrate the end of summer together.

What better way to bond as a family over Labor Day weekend than to spend some time reliving your own childhood and sharing those experiences with your kids? The incredible Toys of the 50s, 60s and 70s exhibit at the History Colorado Center is running through October, so you can use your three-day weekend over Labor Day to visit this unique exhibit. Tell your kids all about your own memories of Gumby, Mr. Potato Head, Slinky, Wham-O, Hot Wheels, Barbie and even the Spirograph. Lean all about the toys, the people that played with them and the geniuses behind the creations  that helped to shape everyday American life. The exhibit is filled with toys, games and the treasures of your childhood, so don't be afraid to let yourself feel like a kid again, too.

What says Labor Day and the end of summer more than sitting out in the warm sunshine with your family, enjoying a ball game, some hot dogs and crackerjacks? All weekend long during Labor Day Weekend, your family can check out evening games as the Colorado Rockies take on the San Francisco Giants at Coors Field. Evening games are perfect for the family as well, as the weather starts to cool off and everyone can have a great time making memories and enjoying the most American of past-times. Cheer on the home team, wear your best purple clothing and don't forget to end the day with a foot-long Rockies dog and maybe an ice cream cone for the kids.
