Springtime is here and the Easter Bunny will be very busy hiding eggs and visiting Easter events all over town. From egg hunts to egg decorating and even fun runs and skiing, there are so many great Easter events for your children to enjoy. Spend the whole weekend as a family enjoying the beautiful Colorado spring weather while having a blast finding eggs and celebrating the Easter holiday. Don’t forget to bring the camera to capture all the great memories you are sure to make at any of these great events.

Bring your kids down to the Children’s Museum of Denver for a hip-hopping fun time. The Bunny Trail EggVenture will have your kids hopping from one “eggsploration station” to the next one, learning a lot and having a ton of fun. Stations include egg-dyeing, spring artwork, yummy treats and a story time with the bunny himself. Plus there will be a really fun and interactive “Instrument Petting Zoo” from Swallow Hill Music, and your kids can take a ride around the plaza on Vern’s Mini Train. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the Easter weekend and keep your children having a blast the whole weekend long.

Just because it’s springtime in Colorado, doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy a few more weeks of skiing. Winter Park Willie is bringing the Easter Bunny to the mountains for a holiday treat, perfect for your little ski bunnies. Your children will love racing down the slopes for the candy hunt and fun race. Plus, there will be events for younger non-skiing kids to meet the Easter Bunny and enjoy the candy hunt. In addition, there will be hidden eggs scattered throughout the Village at Winter Park. If you have a budding artist on your hands, be sure to enter him or her in the Golden Bunny Coloring Contest with ribbons for three different age categories up to 10 years old.

Get a head start on those Easter calories and bring the whole family down to the Easter Trot and Cottontail Fun Run. This event is for both runners and casual walkers alike, with lots of great activities planned for the whole family. There will be both a 5K and a 10K run as well as the kid’s fun run, plus there will even be an old fashioned sack race to finish out the day. Of course, no Easter event would be complete without an Easter Egg hunt, this one includes a scavenger hunt as well. This run is the perfect event for the whole family, you can even bring your dogs and let them in on the Easter action.

For years, Copper Mountain has offered the largest Easter Egg Hunt in Colorado, and this year is sure to be no different. Designed for kids up to 11 years old, the Easter Bunny will be hiding more than 50,000 eggs on the big Copper Mountain. There will even be a select few “Copper Eggs” hidden for those lucky enough to find them. For the really young, there will be a smaller hunt at the Copper Climbing Wall, and of course the big bunny himself will be in attendance for all your photography needs. Once the hunt is over, there will be a fun egg decorating party and lots of great prizes.
