Belly Bliss' unique educational facility and staff truly work to care and educate women during their childbearing years with everything from natural childbirth to hypnobaby classes.

In its natural childbirth classes, students focus on traditional partner-supported natural childbirth techniques. Mothers and their partners learn how to work together for the duration of the pregnancy, creating a strong and harmonious birthing team. Staff suggests couples begin the course between the 28th and 34th weeks of pregnancy to get the most out of the class.

The hypnobabies course is based on Gerald Kein's painless childbirth techniques. Parents work on open-eye childbirth hypnosis and involves the mother remaining deeply in hypnosis while talking, walking and being as mobile as she would like to be. According to Belly Bliss, moms who use this technique typically report calmer, easier and more comfortable labors. Classes also involve birth partners, guiding them on how to fully support the mom, though this process can also be used successfully by single mothers.

Sweet Beginnings is another fantastic resource for all new and expectant moms, featuring a great variety of classes including hypnobabies, the Bradley method and birthing from within.

The Bradley method is one of the most well-known and most comprehensive childbirth courses available. It covers everything from pregnancy and labor to birth and postpartum issues. The 12-week long course focuses on natural childbirth and the pros, cons and alternatives to medical intervention during childbirth.

Birthing from within courses are based on Pam England's book by the same name. This class focuses on the mothers, recognizing that every woman is different, and addressing the questions and aspects of childbirth she is most curious about. The class is guided by a birthing from within mentor who strives to help parents prepare for anything that may come up during the pregnancy and childbirth.

The Mountain Midwifery Center is the only licensed, accredited and free-standing birth center in Denver. It is also one of the only locations in Denver for women seeking a natural water birth.

Mountain Midwifery Center offers a free orientation course to any prospective or new clients. The orientation covers its approach to natural birth, water birth and midwifery. It is a great way to get to know this unique facility, and to see if one of these methods is right for you and your family.

Water birth, essentially giving birth in a bath tub, is praised as less traumatic and less painful for some mothers. The Mountain Midwifery Center offers tubs available for every client and in-water monitoring in addition to courses on this birth method.

In addition to the water birth methods, the Mountain Midwifery Center also offers a full range of childbirth classes including a four-week natural childbirth preparation course and birthing from within. For mothers who have been to the Mountain Midwifery Center before, it also features a one-time class for a refresher on birthing methods.
