Cinco de Mayo is the celebration of the Mexican army's unlikely victory over French forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. In 153 years since the military victory, Mexicans and Americans alike have come to observe this day as a jubilee of Latino culture. While there are many Cinco de Mayo festivals hosted throughout Denver, many of the May 5th revelers have one goal in mind for this particular: drinking way too much tequila and wearing sombreros. If you plan on drinking away Cinco de Mayo, these Denver bars are the best places to do so.
