Jimmy's Urban Bar and Grill brings a barbecue twist to the gastropub. You'll want to try all of the different house-smoked meat dishes like the slow roasted smoked pork served up with drunken onions, pickles and slaw on a toasted roll. Or try the hickory smoked brisket, or even a combination of the two, affectionately named The Fatal Attraction. The barbecue offerings here are few, but strong enough that they alone are worth the visit. Make sure to save room for dessert, however, because you are sure to want to try the fried candy bars like Snickers, Twix, Reese's and Oreo cookies all topped with Madagascar vanilla ice cream.

Boney's Smokehouse is a well-kept secret in Denver. It's easy to miss, as it's located on the lower level in its building on Champa Street, but look carefully and you'll be glad you found this hidden gem. All of the barbecue here is cooked up "low and slow," just the way it should be, and you can't miss with anything on the menu. Try the pulled pork or the slow smoked beef brisket and you'll be in mouth-watering heaven. With its own dry rub, flavorful sauces and all of the great side dishes that you'd expect from a traditional barbecue joint, you'll be visiting Boney's again and again and again.
