Q: Welcome to Defend Your Ride Denver. Let’s start with the basics. What neighborhood do you live? How old are you?
A: I live in Centennial. My zip code is 80015. Forty-four years young!
Q: What is your super minivan’s main use?
A: It’s an all-purpose, child-care business, personal, children, family.
Q: Is it fully outfitted?
A: Yes. What didn’t come with it, was the television, which we put in ourselves.
Q: How many kids do you drive around?
A: Approximately five to six.
Q: As an expert child-driver, how do you keep everybody happy and calm?
A: The TV shows! Veggie Tales, educational programs, that keeps them entertained while driving. So it keeps them calm, relaxed, and also the benefit is the shades. We put in those as well to keep out the sunlight from all complaints. I like the ride.
Q: It must be great having a TV in the car?
A: True, and time flies. When we get home, they haven’t finished their movie and they’re like, can we just sit in the car and watch? Are you serious? We have televisions inside. Yeah, but we’re comfortable.
Q: Was buying your super minivan a positive experience?
A: Well it was sort of a surprise, but the presentation to me was a little bit lousy because of the way my husband did it. He said, I want you to get in the car, we have somewhere to go. I want you to pick out a certain color on something. And in the back of my mind, it’s a van, because I wanted one. I was specific about it. It should have been with a big old bow sitting in front of the house. Regardless, I’m happy. I thanked him, but I wasn’t like jumping out of a box. Once I got there I didn’t have to choose anything. It was just a drive home.
Q: Finally, when the time comes way in the future, what do you think your next car will be?
A: I would still stick with the Odyssey, just more of a younger model. I would stay with it because we enjoy it that much!
