Colorado’s Rainbow Trout Recovering From Disease Outbreak

Colorado wildlife managers say rainbow trout are finally recovering in most of the state’s major rivers after they were devastated in the 1990s by an ailment called whirling disease.

Colorado River To Be Stocked With Hofer Rainbows

Wildlife officials say several thousand fish were killed when a monsoonal downpour in July washed silt and debris into the Colorado River below Dotsero and through the Glenwood Canyon.
