Students who were misled by Westwood College will share in a $4.5 million settlement with the state of Colorado.
Westwood College has agreed to pay $4.5 million to settle a lawsuit the state of Colorado filed alleging the school misled prospective students about its costs and how successful alumni are in finding jobs in their fields of study.
Colorado has put Westwood College on probation. It was the focus of a CBS4 news investigation.
Denver-based Westwood College says it is appalled by the actions of its employees after a government investigation on for-profit colleges. The report was released at a U.S. Senate committee hearing in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday.
