Airport Security Scrutinized After Breach By Colorado Pilot

A spokeswoman for SkyWest airlines said Colorado Springs murder suspect Brian Hedglin, who killed himself Monday after stealing and then crashing a plane on a Utah runway, had been on leave since the day police found his girlfriend’s body.

Officials Say Colorado Springs Murder Suspect Tried To Steal Plane

A pilot accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend in Colorado Springs stole a plane in St. George, Utah, and committed suicide while in the cockpit, according to authorities.
