Chacin Injured As Rockies Beat Diamondbacks

Jhoulys Chacin pitched effectively into the seventh inning and became the first Rockies starter to throw 100 pitches in a game since last June before leaving with an injury as Colorado beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-1 Friday night.

Helton’s HR, Combo 2-Hitter Send Rockies Over Padres

The San Diego Padres brought in the right-field fences in an attempt to make Petco Park play a little fairer, knowing that opponents would benefit, too. Todd Helton is glad they did.

Chacin’s Strong Start Wasted By Pen In 5-3 Loss

Colorado Rockies starter Jhoulys Chacin scattered three hits over five scoreless innings in the Rockies’ 5-3 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday night.

Andrew Brown hit his first career homer and pinch-hitter Josh Rutledge had a two-run shot for Colorado, which has won six of seven. Carlos Torres (3-1) threw 2 1-3 scoreless innings as four Rockies relievers combined for five innings of one-hit ball.

Helton’s Error Helps Phillies Beat Rockies 7-6

Tulowitzki’s 3-Run HR Helps Rockies Beat Miami 8-4

Giambi’s Homer Lifts Rockies Over Dodgers In 9th

Pinch hitter Jason Giambi launched a three-run homer off Scott Elbert in the ninth inning, lifting the Colorado Rockies to an 8-5 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday.
