National Bone Marrow Registry
More than 100 people signed up in hopes of saving the life of a stranger. They had their cheek swabbed on Saturday to become part of the National Bone Marrow Registry.
The myth about donating bone marrow requiring surgery is just that- a myth. There’s a simpler way of giving that can still save lives called peripheral blood stem cell donation or PBSC.
All it takes is a simple swab of the cheek to give hope to a blood cancer patient. That puts people on a national registry and that could save a life.
