Light rail service was disrupted for more than an hour Wednesday morning after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a train.
There was another milestone for light rail in the metro area on Friday as the Regional Transportation District broke ground on the final stage of the Interstate 225 line through Aurora.

Earlier in August CBS4 reported on a story of the two-year-old puppy who was hit by a light rail train near the Interstate 225 and Dayton Station. Her paws and tail were damaged and she had other lacerations and breathing problems.
A dog thought she could out run an oncoming light rail train, but the puppy lost the race and nearly lost her life.
