It’s very likely that Oregon’s Marcus Mariota and Florida State’s Jameis Winston will be the first two quarterbacks taken in this year’s NFL Draft, but a Colorado quarterback might be right behind them.
Garrett Grayson saved the 40-yard dash for the end of his pro day workout Monday. It was during a 40-yard dash last month that Grayson tweaked a hamstring, preventing him from showing off his skills at the NFL Combine.
Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota looks to be the favorite this season, but Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon also has a decent shot to win the award. Everybody else may be playing for third place.
As far as numbers go, Rakeem Cato is a very good player, but to make a run to New York, he will have to go on a tear in the second half of the season.
