Supporters and opponents are gearing up for two public meetings to discuss a deal that would allow a private company to take over the operation of the main highway between Denver and Boulder for the next 50 years.
CDOT is entering a 50 year contract with a private party, giving them control over the express lanes that will be built along Highway 36.
This week Highway 36 will be closed overnight as crews demolish the bridge over Sheridan Boulevard.
