Leipheimer Set To Defend USA Pro Cycling Challenge Title

Nearly five months after breaking his leg in a training accident in Spain, Levi Leipheimer will begin defense of his USA Pro Cycling Challenge title Monday in hopes of claiming his first overall victory this season.

Leipheimer To Ride In USA Pro Cycling Challenge

The USA Pro Cycling Challenge says defending champion Levi Leipheimer of Montana and former Tour de France champion Cadel Evans of Australia are slated to compete in this year’s race.

Hincapie Wins Stage, Van Garderen Takes Lead

American veteran George Hincapie emerged from a six-rider group Wednesday to win the crash-marred second stage of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge, while young compatriot Tejay Van Garderen became the third race leader in three days.
