Game Day Report Card
The Broncos started slow but stepped it up after the Chargers first score and never let off the gas. Denver’s defense was domineering in their pass rush and put consistent pressure on Philip Rivers.
Trindon Holliday was again magical for the men from the Mile High City, and overall, Denver’s special teams unit played their best game of the year in the Broncos’ 36-14 win over Carolina.
The Denver Broncos weren’t as potent as usual on offense and Peyton Manning turned the ball over twice on the day. But he and the offense bounced back and the defense got it together in the second half as well to push the team to a third straight victory.
The Broncos earned almost all As on this week’s game report card and they were domineering in offense, defense and coaching. Only special teams blunders led to a low grade as they blew out the Saints 34-7 Sunday night.
The Broncos were not superb in any area other than quarterback Sunday, and their overall mediocre play led to the third loss of the season.
Denver was dominant in all three phases of the game Sunday as they blew out the Raiders on the arm of Peyton Manning and the strength of strong tackling by the defense.
